MEET THe DUSTY RENTALS FLEET!

We’re kicking off the Dusty rentals range with two DV-CAM camera kits available to rent now!

The two cameras we have on offer are our flagship camera, the Panasonic NV-DS50, and our old broadcast style camera, the Ikegami HL-DV7. Both camera kits come fully supplied with batteries rigging and the tools needed to make them viable production cameras on set both include a monitor recorder that allows you to capture the footage as you shoot straight to an SD card. So no tapes, cables or messy work arounds needed to secure the DV-CAM look.

The Ikegami LV-DV7 setup at Sydney airport, the image features the Chrosziel 2 stage matte box, Canon Servo Zoom lens, the camera body and included Miller Arrow tripod.

So why rent out DV-CAMs?

The answer we think is simple, you get easy reliable access to working camera models that allow you to authentically capture DV-CAM Style footage with the simple press of a button. Allowing you to easily shoot for mixed media projects.

The other added benefit is that these cameras can also be used as operational props. If you have a show, narrative project or music video coming up you can rent these cameras as props and tools to capture media assets and set the look and feel of the world you want to create.

So whats next and how do i hire these cameras?

We’re working behind the scenes to add onto our range and improve the existing kits, for now the focus is to push the products we have and get them in your hands!

I’ve shot my Project, how do i share it and whats next?

I’m glad you asked 😉, Our plan with Dusty Rentals is to offer a full end to end support system. With any footage you capture there is a zero fee 3-6 month backup that we put on our digital storage systems. But thats not all, we want to offer a platform to expand and grow the audience and market for DV-CAM aesthetics, we aim to do this by celebrating projects created with our cameras, this includes your projects too!

We have a Digital magazine that we are putting together designed to host and showcase these projects on our website and across social media. Eventually we hope that we have a large enough audience that projects we share have a guaranteed increase in Audience viewership and engagement.

All we ask in return is that we can use the final footage and any BTS content to promote the Dusty Rentals Brand and ultimately achieve this goal.
